Toddler Play Group

Toddler play group is a social playtime for toddlers and parents/caregivers.  This is a chance for infants and

toddlers to develop social skills with other children.   Parents/caregivers also use this time to interact with

other adults.

Facility Rentals

The Deerfield Community Center is available for rent all year long.   Over the years we have had baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, graduation parties and much, much more. If you are interested in renting the center call 764-5935.  The center is available for half or whole day rentals. The cost varies on the length of rental.  This is a smoke free environment.

AFTER SCHOOL YOUTH RESOURCE CENTER (school year)

The community center is open Monday through Friday, 3-5:30PM for after school youth resource

center during the school year.   During this time students, in grades 4-8, can work on homework,

socialize with others, and participate in various activities.   There is a fee for this program.  Contact

TEEN YOUTH RESOURCE CENTER (school year)

Teen youth resource center is an opportunity for youth, grades 6-12 to interact in a safe environment

on Fridays and Saturdays from 7-10 PM.  During this time, students are allowed to leave when

they choose.  However, they cannot return for the rest of that day.  This is not a lock-in situation!

Early Release Recreation

Early Release Recreation is a joint program with the Deerfield School District.   The two groups provide

supervision for grade school students on early release days.

Early Release Days from 1:15 - 3:00 p.m.

No admittance after 1:30 without written permission from school staff

bullet

Parents should have arrangements made for their child after 3:00 p.m.

Children wishing to participate in this program should contact the Deerfield School District

School's Out Club (school year)

Various times throughout the year DCC will meet during off or early release school day.  All youth must pre-register at DCC in order to participate.  This program is for youth in grades K-6.  Times are 8-3 on no school days and 11-3 on early release half days.  Youth will be picked up in the Elementary School Cafeteria and will walk or be transported to DCC.  Meals are not provided, children must bring their own lunch.  Contact Julie for more info at 764-5935 or julieschwenn@yahoo.com.

 

 

 

Deerfield/Cambridge Food Pantry

The food pantry is a product of DCC's commitment to the community.   They provide food for families in need.

An article of mail showing your home address to prove residency

A current pay check stub for all eligible family members to prove income

bullet

2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

4th Thursday of the month from 6:00 p.m.  - 7:00 p.m. 

 

Donations are accepted any time during the center's office hours (Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).

Senior Recreation Programs

Senior News
Game Day Tuesdays and Thursdays

Senior recreation includes Bingo, Euchre, and a light meal is provided.   This  program brings together the senior citizens of the community for fun and socializing.

The Deerfield Community Center offers adults the opportunity for weight training at the Deerfield

High School weight room.

GIRLS (Grounded in Identity, Relationships, Leadership, & Service)

Teen Leadership Council (TLC)

Teen Leadership Council members help support the DCC staff during drop-in, at DCC fundraisers, and help promote the center and programs for other area youth. At each meeting we have various group discussions (i.e. drugs, alcohol, long and short term goals, stress management, peer pressure, and more).  This group is for grades 6-12.  You must be registered with DCC staff at the beginning of each new school year.  If interested contact Julie at 764.5935 or julieschwenn@yahoo.com.

Breakfast Club

               

Back by popular demand.  Wake up a little earlier on Tuesday and Thursday and enjoy breakfast with the "Breakfast Club". We meet in the cafeteria at the Elementary school. This program is open to all elementary school youth. Breakfast Club opens at 7 AM, please enter through the cafeteria doors. This program is free.  Operates only on days that school is in session.
